SF seemed to have picked up on the fact after the success of the rally on March 24. They did have a bit of a presence at the CAHWT march against Fine Gael on March 31, though their position hasn't changed yet as far as I know. They're still making an appeal to clientism (let the elected reps take care of it for you) and are strongly opposed to a mass grassroots campaign, which went so far that their members were going into local CAHWT meetings and trying to scaremonger and undermine the anti-payment campaign.

They seem to have realised that they are in danger of being left behind on this issue, the question now is whether they will come out and support a mass campaign that they can't control.

The other face had recently signed off on Workfare up in the North, whereas the unemployed, under threat of loosing their dole were expected to work for multi-national companies for free.
