Their story invariably involves the suppression of other stories. Nevertheless, if it is watched with all this in mind, and sight is not lost of the fact that it is one story of the escape and not the only story, then the value of a documentary like Breakout is not negated. <BR/>As for BS coming across as slow witted, I think this might be a gratuitous swipe at a speech impediment which he has largely overcome through sheer force of will. I don't really think it is a fair point. I must say it was great viewing overall.<BR/><BR/>Yet the after taste of the programme left me firstly wondering how much of the breakout story, like the 'Jail history' of old is being managed by a small cadre of senior Sinn Fein personnel, what of all the other escapees and their voice and their stories? <BR/><BR/>And secondly how embarassingly slow witted and baffoon-like Bobby comes across throughout the whole show. I cringed with embarassment when my non-political brother-in-law remarked on this exact point. <BR/><BR/>Big Nose's grandiose self protrayal in the programme is quite contrary to his bullying and cunningly vicious present day quisling character as he (and his staff) play toy soldiers scouting round Belfast in his fancy silver VW Gulf gathering information on, harassing and indeed threatening Active Belfast Republicans. <BR/><BR/>Now there's a story we'd all like to hear more about Bobby!!<BR/><BR/>Not fooled !!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
