It's sometimes difficult as an Irish-American to know what to do, we've often been told by Irish people to mind our own business, not stir up trouble we don't have to live with. What's happening to Marian Price is definitely not something for which we should sit back and mind our own business. Not that we don't have plenty of our own business to attend to, as evidenced by the posted link to the article about Arizona's horrifying law and prime enforcer.

Thank you to everyone who came out to make last night's solidarity evening with Marian Price such a big success.

I talked to Marian's husband, Jerry McGlinchey, yesterday afternoon.

He said she's in a Cathch 22 situation.

She's suffering from truama resulting from incarceration and islollation.

If, by some chance, her condition improves in the mental hospital
where she is confined she will go back to prison.

He said he tells Marian about all our actions because it helps to give her hope.

We need to step up the pressure until Marian is free.

“The Ancient Order of Hibernians in America believes that the incarceration without charges of Marian Price is a return to the discredited time when British Security Forces would intern Irish Republicans on a whim and with no evidence. As someone who has been in Windsor House three times the best advice I'd give is to be patient as although if Marian leaves there she may be going back to jail a psychiatric ward can make you frantic and the more frantic you are the more medication you'll get and the less likely you'll be released. Accepting her circumstances personally and calmly with everybody else on the outside working for her welfare would be the best thing.

Acceptance and personally taking every day as it comes, patiently, will work wonders for her mental health as she will otherwise be worrying. Everyone working on the outside will be her best comfort.

I was told today that Marian Price is in an isolation ward of a
psychiatric hospital without her consent and against the advice of the specialist who has been treating her.

I will try to have more news at the solidarity event for Marian Price tomorrow, Wednesday June 27th at 7pm at O'Lunney's Time Square Pub, 145 W. 45th St. between 6th & 7th Ave

Says it all really,those of us on the ground here will continue to do all we can to highlight the injustice being carried out against Marian Price,we will have a demo and be collecting signatures at the International Wall, corner of Northumberland st Falls rd on Sat 30th,there will be a meeting in Coalisland on the 4th a bus will be leaving Conway Mill at 6.30 seats £10 contact myself or any of the campaign group to inquire about seats. the campaign will continue untill we have Marian home.
