Apart from spooks in suits wanting to re-write history (which is why I think they want the tapes).

Sometimes I wonder if the Belfast Project isn't a pawn in a bigger game. Every now and then people are extradited from the UK to the USA (generally doesn't happen in reverse) accused of selling batteries to Iran, cyber attacks etc...

And the British are simply trying to 'call in a favour'.
