Have had the privilege of knowing Jim for the past 20 years and Anthony gives a very poignant oration. A lovely oration from Pat. Never heard anything said about Jim only good. It's hard to protect ourselves from insidious people they emerge from the strangest of places
I remember Jim coming to Clonard usually to the house of Marie Moore, I never got to know him any better than the many many who passed through that house, but I remember his constant smiles and laughter.

A lovely tribute to a sound man,had the pleasure to meet Jim in his native county and at Ard Fheis, his craic and humor was indeed legendary,he had an honesty which is seldom found these days in politicians,but then Jim was only a politician by need not desire, in later years he suffered the chinese whispers even here in Belfast from those who called him comrade not to long before,water of a ducks back to Jim,I to was proud to call Jim a cara..

Firstly to ,"Pat", an excellent oration to a great friend of yourself.

Pleading with ignorance, I never met , "Jim" , but, I sincerely wish I had before his demise.

But, I have to be honest, I will be 69 this year, and that is a number which is glued to my brain, to me, it was the official start of the war, I mean in Ardoyne. for SF to not mention ,"Jims name ,such a staunch Irish Republican , more than they , "Todays SF",could ever be. My deepest sorrow is , "I have never met Jim" ,My deepest sympathies to his children and family circle, maybe its old age in myself, but I have shed a tear reading Pats oration.

Rest in Peace comrade, you will never be forgotten, although we have never met.

I felt a lot of pride along with a lot of sadness reading that. Sadness at where things have ended up.

Jim said the oration at my friend and comrades funeral too and I was glad of the fact then and am glad of it now. Also, I'm very priviledged to say Jim was on my facebook friends list.

RIP Jim. May God bless and take care of you.
