Dixie, I am well aware of the Glenanne gang operated in the Lurgan and Portadown areas. John Weir had quite a bit to say about this group. I do admit to having Unionist sympathies as I firmly believe that Ireland would have been better off as a part of the United Kingdom rather than the quasi-theocratic state it became under De Valera who himself was no loathe to intern IRA members at Curragh. Dixie, what I fail to understand is why did the South Armagh IRA allow Robin Jackson to operate with impunity around Armagh? And why didn't Jackson himself hit any senior IRA players save John Francis Green? Is it possible that there was some sort of "gentleman's agreement" between them? This is not a contentious queation but merely one of curiousity as I have done extensive research into the life of Robin Jackson. He seemed to have lived a charmed life whereas associates if his such as the Somerville brothers, Harris Boyle, Robert McConnell, RJ Kerr, Billy Hanna did not. The latter was shot dead by Jackson himself however the rest bar JJ Somerville all met violent ends. It seems the South Armagh IRA preferred to target part-time UDR members, RUC, innocent Protestant workers such as those at Kingsmill rather than hard men like Jacko. McGuinness was head of Northern Command by this stage, no? Were innocent Catholics being sacrified to Jacko's Luger in order to increase recruitment to the IRA ranks whilst at the same time blackenening the loyalists paramilitaries? Willie Gallagher of IRSP admitted that when the INLA took the decision to murder Billy Wright in prison they did so in the full knowledge that innocent Catholic civilians would pay the price. I appreciate your engaging with me Dixie in honest debate as trading insults get us nowhere.

Naw, we could point out a hell of a lot of things but why bang our heads off brick walls when history will record for all time the facts behind the recent campaign. Oh and most certainly the part played in the dirty war by our own leadership, who even sacrificed their own brave men for an election result.

Those to blame for ensuring that the war didn't end in the mid-1970s now share power - or what little power given to them - in Stormont.

The truth hurts I suppose. I have yet to meet a Republican who has the courage to reply when he is forced to look into a mirror and see that Irish republicanism is indeed sectarian despite the United Irishmen having been overwhelmingly Protestant. Even Sean O'Callaghan writes of this. I don't know how many times I heard Northern Irish nationalists refer to Protestant Churches as "black churches" and Protestants as "huns". No not sectarian. And the PIRA is not really just an organisation based on the old Catholic defender tradition? Please. As regards Irish history, I was hoping Anyhony McIntyre with his PhD in the subject would be willing to debate with me on the issue. I would ask him how much of Ireland's history he as actually studied as he clearly does not know that Ireland's troubles began whwn the Roman Catholic church sought to bring the Celtic Church under its heel and chose the King of England as its temporal representative. Henry II never invaded Ireland. It was the Cambro-Normans under Strongbow who did this in 1169 after Dermot MacMurrough solicited their aid in a feud he had with the other Irish kings. JKing Henry assumed overlordship of Ireland only after his vassals wished to form a rival kingdom with the blessing of the aforesaid King Dermot. Iam disappointed McIntyre does not wish to engage in historical debate.

After reading all of Dolour Price's writings, I am convinced that all education in Ireland needs to be secular. And if life was so harsh for the Price family in "British-Occupied Six Counties" there was always the option of moving to the South where Catholics formed 97% of the population. They did not choose this; instead they joined a paramilitary organisation committed to bombing and murder in order to force the majority Unionist population into a united Ireland dictated by Republican principals that were forged by the deluded teacher Patrick Pearse. His farcical 1916 insurrection was unmandated by the local Dubliners yet that did not deter him and his comrades. Just as the limbless, lifeless bodies of babies, soldiers, women, teenagers and policemen did not deter the likes of the Price sisters, Adams, Hughes, Kelly, McKenna, Keenan, etc, etc, etc. "Blowing up bits of England" she says This should actually read "blowing up bits of English people". Phew, I don't know were to start after reading all that, so I will say; Dolours was a woman with principals, she wrote and said it as it was. To be honest I could carry on writing for hours, and, its taken me 30 minutes to read all that which has been posted. She put Adams and Co in there place, especially The Kelly fella, Maybe Dolours could have written , "They are No longer singing The Wearing off the Green, Because They are now wearing the Orange sash and bowing to there British queen". That's how I see it. So I will finish of with, "Dolours", you were an inspiration, a true Republican, you Passed away in peace, with the knowledge that those who betrayed everyone, shall themselves be betrayed, The taking of the 30 pieces of silver will be there ultimate downfall. Rest In Peace, your suffering is now over.

Those without scruples don't have any shame, just a blind tunnel with which to travel along with a very stark and dark ending.

I only wish I had 1/99th of dolours, and all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice on hunger strike. bravery, commitment, and, dedication is there's alone and can never be taken away.
