Priests can stand on a pulpit denouncing women, yet it has been proven that a lot of them have left the cloth, "For women who are unclothed!"

A very sad and factual piece. Violence against women and sexual crimes against women are a feature of every society.
What happened in India and recently in the Irish Free State grabbed media attention because both women both Indian women died untimely and unnecessary deaths.
Sadly these crimes against women can are not the preserve of the religious or 2 or 3 worlds.
Of course religious leaders will spew their claptrap but so will the secular men and so will other women. This violence and absolute thuggery and the mindset that gives it credence is alive and well and within touching distance. I think the saying is we are never more than two feet from a rat we are even closer to these mindsets.

Its a sad sick world when a female can't get on public transport without be touched by some male sex freak. As for the Indian Government, its seems to be the norm for this sort of thing to happen, They are still living in the dark old days, maybe someone should let them know what century this is.

Almost half a century since Indira Ghandi made history as Indias first female prime minister and women are still so persecuted and valueless... In a country that prides itself on the fact that its the worlds largest working democracy too.
