I dont know where to start. So I will start with a good old fashioned laugh. This boyo, thinks that all roads should lead to an internal british solution. Imperialist ending. He did pick up on the WP and IRSP, but what of the expense of other republician socialist groupings. He did not in my opinion think that angle through, or maybe he did and he choose to mention the organisations in which he would refer to as fringe parties with no serious threat. He may be right. How he classes SF or SDLP as socialist parties is beyond the gift of my imagination. Sure he even went on to say that SDLP would need to form a partnership with FF,FG to ensure survival, this would not be a socialist partnership that would be classes as a irish imperialist partnership in my eyes. The only difference is that Irish do not have the military might, but they have operational landing capacity for American/british warmongers to use their shores for refueling missions, just enough to keep them in the favourable right hedgemony. Maybe joining in the commonwealth is an option for all of Ireland, remember nothing can be sacred cow anymore. Nothing. Maybe that is why Maginness is stepping down from mid ulster MP, to pave the way for the next generation of bright new super smooth"clean skins" to take their place in westminster. Why not, when the british work out a strategy for SF not to withdraw their expenses unless they sit in the chamber, this would provide the perfect runway to see it to their catholic middle class. This article is over the top in suggesting missed opportunities. Yes the tory party in the North are a real success story.lol. The SDLP have been consistant over the course of the years, this cannot be said of SF, who have changed everytime they seek to further bed themselves into politics. SF can only shrink as they have reached thier peak and they have already started the day they abandoned large sections of the republican community. What makes John think that the SDLP merging with parties outside of the occupied six will advance thier political ideals.
John You might be better penning fantacy stories, you seem to have a good imagination. FFS just cause you do articles for newspaper does nt mean you have to start making things up.
