I needed the elaboration as I thought it maybe something to do with democratic left and Seamus being shafted after he left the Workers Party only to be made aware that democratic left would only fight elections in the south, therefore the end of Seamus political ambitious career.

While S/F and WP could be viewed from a reformist, stagiest position, there ideologies are simply bi -polar of each other.

WP want an end to the capitalist system in Ireland, weather it is governed by Stormount, UK or the Irish government. S/F on the other hand, have done a 360 degree shift to implementing British rule, an exploitative capitalist system, with the potential of a police state with a great big smile on their face.

Even if your politics are not to the left, or center, SF are basically a right wing party, and they had the nerve to call Republican SF conservative.

If you view any WP supporter or member and draw similarities with SF, the differences need to be highlighted as we wouldn't want people thinking the two organisations share the same political aspirations. It wouldn't be fair.

I imagine it is pretty self explanatory and not in need of elaboration. Or at least I am uncertain as to what the elaboration is you want.

Both men have a reformist/stageist position towards the NI state. Both support the partition principle of a northern restricted consent and both endorse the British justice system in the North including the police.

Lynch may have stolen the march on Kelly by about thirty years but apart from the time lag and the not insignificant matter of Lynch’s politics being considerably more to the left than Kelly’s, there is no appreciable difference between the reformist perspective of either man.

after everything he has been through you would think he would come to his senses and admit that nothing has changed, It's still the same , Police protecting the Red White and Blue.
