She was very good on talkback today,re Sinn Fein and the expenses row and on Radio Free on Saturday evening and Sunday Sequence on Sunday morning on the journalism issue. She put her case well, she is articulate and a strong woman, I feel Suzanne will get through this. Hopefully it won't be a drawn out process, and the whole issue dispensed with so that she can get on with doing what she does best.

I hope she reads these comments, and your article Anthony, so that she knows ordinary people support her. It's all we can do.....

AM, In the article you say that 'Martin McGuinness, was reported in the Belfast Telegraph to have lambasted what he called ‘dissident journalists’ who give more attention to the Real IRA than Mr McGuinness felt appropriate. He was also said to have claimed that the journalists in question were ‘giving succour to these people’.

I see no difference in this type of comment that those uttered in the british parliament under privilege that led to the deaths of people like Pat Finucane and Rosemary Nelson.

McGuinness is treading on dangerous ground with such comments. How many innocents died because of the hateful diatribes that spewed from the mouth of his chuckle brother Paisley? If some lunatic makes an attempt on the life of a journalist such as Suzanne Breen, will McGuinness shoulder responsibility, I don't think so.

The press should show mcguinness the disdain and contempt he deserves.

This is a great article, Anthony. It’s a disgusting decision and it sends out a clearly threatening signal to journalists because the authorities have decided to publicise this attempt at censorship by going through the courts, when they could’ve obtained their information quietly.
