the brit army loving continuity are traitor's-they can wear their poppys with pride for killing no brit army member's-
do not know why any-one can be fooled by the media in-to thinking that the dissidents are hardline- this is the same media which always opposed the republican people- the brit media would not get a single Irish vote-and they know this.
michaelhenry, Are Alex Maskey and Tom Hartley members of the Continuity? Both laid wreaths at the British war memorial to commemorate fallen British troops so why not wear a poppy?
mise eire, we have established that you are not Marty, due to the absence of wife jokes. However, there must be a family connection somewhere, brother maybe?
Robert, thought you and Marty had gone off together. Winnie Mandela was never convicted of that killing, although I agree with you, it was quite brutal. I listened to her being interviewed last year and she was still talking about the poverty, injustice and white dominance in South Africa, things her husband has apparently forgotten.
mise eire, I had a granny a bit like that myself, no spuds today.
"Winnie Mandela was never convicted of that killing.."
She was convicted of his kidnapping and and as an accessory to his assault. The South African Truth Commission held her responsible for gross human rights violations on the basis of numerous testimony regarding the murders of Stompie and others. Her response was to laugh throughout with her legal representatives. She has further been accused of corruption and has convictions for fraud.

Her position is very like Adams. He's still talking about poverty, injustice and Unionist dominance all the while his past lingers around him and his party like a bad smell.
As for international man of mystery Marty I suspect his real identity is none other than Julian Assange!
Robert, there is a significant difference between Winnie Mandela and Clint Adams, she is sincere he simply is not. Whether people like her or her previous choice of methods is irrelevant, she stuck to her beliefs which is more than Mr Adams or her ex-husband did. I believe she was the stronger of the two and she suffered because she refused to adhere to a settlement which changed very little for her people. Like Adams, Mandela was bought she wasn't.
I have enjoyed the mandela debate- this is not a man v woman argument I support the A.n.c and Nelson mandela- winnie always struck me has a walter mitty character- she wanted people to think of her as hardline does she still hold on-to the mandela name
I don't know if stompie was killed this way put they used to put there touts inside a number of tyres- then burn all when that person was still alive- did the end justify the means- hard to know but the A.n.c are happy to-day.
Former IRA volunteer and ex-prisoner, spent 18 years in Long Kesh, 4 years on the blanket and no-wash/no work protests which led to the hunger strikes of the 80s. Completed PhD at Queens upon release from prison. Left the Republican Movement at the endorsement of the Good Friday Agreement, and went on to become a journalist. Co-founder of The Blanket, an online magazine that critically analyzed the Irish peace process.

mise eire,
I would have my money on Winnie Mandela, I think the end she shone through as the one with the principles.
mise eire, you gave us all a good laugh this morning with the disident children craic!
The more intelligent member of Marty's family maybe?
